Crocheted Towel Toppers

My mom requested some crocheted towel toppers but different than the last ones I made for a friend.  I found this free pattern and went to work....

Contoured Crochet Clothes Hangers

When I had the idea to make these, I thought "How hard could this be?"

Well.  Well.  Well.

I've learned the answer to that...and I'm not sure if it is user-issues (me!) or what....guess I miss my "same stitch over and over and over" washcloths....lol.

Hmmm....Can you tell what this will be?

I'm not done with this first one and I'm not sure it will fit...and if after all this wrangling it does not....well.....I will take a deep breath and forge ahead.  I WILL win this one!!

Update:  I've made friends with this pattern and am rocking and rolling.... (P.S.  It did fit!)

I purchased these standard wood hangers at Target, I believe, for $5.99 or so?  Most hanger patterns online are for antique hangers...but I knew these would be more ideal and searched for a pattern that would work.

Enjoy!!

Another Scalloped Potholder

It's a shocker!!  I'm crocheting again!!!  (Since starting to work outside the home again for the first time in 6 years, I've just not made the time...but I sincerely missed it...very calming, takes your mind off ANYTHING that might be worrying you.....)

One of my all-time favorite patterns was the Scalloped Potholder...  and then I got to use my fabulous DIY Lightbox!!

And now, crocheted together:

I am crocheting another project now and it is kicking my behind!  So did not expect it.....I have to make multiple items, so I hope I win this war quickly!  lol

Serenity Garden Dishcloth

Well, I thought I had finished unpacking from our trip.  Look what I found at the bottom of my yarn bag?  How did I forget something I crocheted??

Using my favorite yarn, I made another "Simple Stripes Dishcloth"...except didn't add any stripes.  I tell you, this is a pattern you can create while doing other things.  lol  This chain length was PERFECT for natural striping.....
