I almost forgot to show you my lovely scalloped potholders!!! First, in my WIP Wednesday post, I showed you my first side........here:
Well, well well well..........I was so proud of this UNTIL I made my second side and then started to stitch them together. (It is a 2 -sided thick potholder). Guess what? I messed up on this one!!!!! If you imagine this potholder is a clock, look at the 1:00 position near the center. That just isn't correct. Darn it! And as a result of ONE missed stitch, I was short an ENTIRE SCALLOP. One stitch people!!
So guess what?? This beautiful item is now a coaster. lol And I stitched a full 2 more sides to make the PERFECT Scalloped Potholder, which I dearly love. And gave it away as a gift. lol
This pattern is SO easy, so fast. Honestly, the hardest part was the very end when you stitch the 2 together. Not my fave.
And here she is, in all her glory:
New side 1 and side 2 - I jazzed up the gray side a bit more this time. |
I just love this!! Many more will be in my future...I'm dreaming of all kinds of color combos as I write this.
I may be linking to THESE parties.
Just lovely! You take great photos too!
