Must See Video on Pain and the Future

Although I cried the entire 8 minute video, it is very worth seeing.  And I can only hope that something can be discovered very soon.

Day to day, my legs burn hip to toes but when my weird back pain kicks in, it feels like that blow torch on the top of my skin intensely.  Usually, however, it feels like the blow torch is deep in my leg.....to toes.

Doesn't help that I've been in a pain flare for 2 weeks...thought I was getting better....then went today for another facial (to help the face situation)......and now I'm paying for it.  Hard.  (Not sure when I will post this....so that will probably be a few days old news.)

I just want to tell you.....if you suffer from any type of chronic pain, I am so SO sorry.  I "get it".  I truly do.

  1. Thank you for this post. When my 90 yr old mother was ill last year, she could not stand for even a bed sheet to be touching parts of her body. It was so hard for us to help her. I have had fibromyalgia for many years. I am on a medication now that is calming down those receptors and am able to function better, but still have pain. I haven't blogged for a couple of months because my depression & pain have been overwhelming. I hope to get back to blogging soon since it gives me an outlet for creativity and stories for my family.

I hope you will find relief for your pain.
    Many thanks,

  2. Beckie, I couldn't find an email so I commented on your last blog post and then here if you subscribed to get responses. So sorry to hear you are also suffering pain.....I am reading a book right now that is knocking my socks off, titled "Opening the Cage of Pain with EFT" by Rue Anne Hass. Wow. Incredibly insightful..lots of tears again, but I cry when I finally feel someone "gets it". When the majority of folks thinks chronic pain = lazy, it is so touching when someone understands. Thank you for reading and commenting and I hope you get back to blogging very soon. You never know who you are touching...that's what keeps me going.

  3. I know what its like to live with chronic illness, but the pain that I have is manageable. I cant imagine having constant pain that has no end. I pray that a cure for this will come soon and your suffering will be relieved. Thanks for posting this very informative video. My understanding of the problem has been greatly expanded.

  4. Hi Cheri. I am sorry that you too are dealing with a flare up in pain. I enjoyed the video and I am glad to see that this doctor is helping to clear up misconceptions about chronic pain. Hopefully we we all get over our flares soon.

  5. Thank you so much for the sweet words, Cheri. I would love to read the book. I will check and see if Amazon has it for my iPad or hardback. I will try to get back to my blogging soon. There have been so many days that I felt "if I can't write anything but to complain, I won't write anything". I just to make more of an effort to see the beauty among the thorns. Till we chat again.
