More family cookin', as requested!   Because of a lifetime of family allergies, we prefer simple dishes with few ingredients.  Here ya go!

Hamburger Pork'nBean Casserole

1 lb. hamburger
1/2 cup chopped onion (omitted due to onion allergy)
1 lg can Pork n' Beans
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 Tbs. Mustard
1 cup Ketchup

Brown hamburger and onion.   Drain.

Add remaining ingredients.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour.

 Enjoy!

  5. My family loves these beans. Whenever there is a barbeque or picnic these are a MUST! I got the recipe from my grandmother years ago but my family calls them 'grandma Connie beans'.

  8. When I read this I said to my mother, how timely! I made her and her husband some stew with onions... Thinking I would bear the onion allergy for the out of this world stew. Well, not a great idea.
It is interesting to see others with the same allergy. My family thought I was nuts for years until recently... Thanks for posting this recipe!

  10. Pork 'n' beans with hamburg, yum, yum. This is good over a baked potato, or mashed potatoes. So glad to know I'm not the only one. Thanks. I am 'Blue Wolf'..
