WIP Wednesday

Have you ever walked through a yarn store or aisle and seen a product that is calling to you, yet you walk over and just cannot justify the purchase or think of something to make?

Well, this yarn did this to me.  I barely even saw it...it was on a top row, above my head and is tiny....but look at these colors....

Premier Yarns - Deborah Norville Collection - Serenity Garden Yarn -GEMS color

I don't know why....but these colors just would not leave my mind.  And this yarn is so tiny and soft...I got to thinking..............what if I make a THIN washcloth?

I've made 3 washcloths/dishcloths so far and they are so THICK...not my style.  I prefer thin washcloths......

I decided to use the tutorial from Aesthetic Nest  - Crochet Ribbed Washcloth -the other day and try this.  Here I what I have so far:

I'm hoping this works - I would love to join the ranks of folks who love crocheted cloths!

  2. You can also make a nice headscarf from cotton.

  3. Cheri - I love this yarn! I just finished 2 projects with it (same colour as yours). Isn't it gorgeous and soft? It called my name for a few months before I finally gave in and bought some. I'll be posting a pattern in the next few days. The washcloth is a great idea. Cotton ones can be pretty bulky.

  9. I can't say that yarn has even done this to me but fabric sure has! That's my weakness. :) So I can understand! Beautiful colors!

  10. Mmmmm, the colors are delicious! Love the looks of it - your kitchen will certianly appreciate this new addition :)

Whenever I am in the yarn store I ran like crazy with my ears firmly clasped because I cannot stand all the calling I get from the shelves and if by any chance I prove weak (which happens almost every time) and surrender, my wallet feels miserable for quite a while!!
